*  RALLYS for the  Ingram Dunes next 2 Saturdays March 10th &17th, 11AM, Hillside & 10th Ave South
*  Important PLANNING Commission Meeting:  March 20th, 9AM Discussion, 5PM formal meeting and vote.

Dear Dunes Neighbors,

While talking with Baldwin today, we both felt it will be important for us to have Rallys for the Dunes on the next 2 Saturdays at 11AM near 10th Ave South along Hillside Drive.

From talking with owner Jim Anderson in January, we found out that the Ingram family has signed an contract with RS Parker (again) to build 2 Roads & 31 houses on the Ingram Dunes.

Jim Anderson has submitted plans for development of the Ingram Dunes to the NMB Planning Comission.  There will be an important PLANNING MEETING at City Hall on Tuesday MARCH 20th at 9AM and a public meeting at 5PM, for Approval or Denial.

The plans acknowledge that to build houses in the Ingram Dunes, Every tree would be Cut (even the largest trees) and the high dunes would Bulldozed Flat.

Sorry for such bad, dire news to you all.. but that is the critical place where we are now.  Our only hope is to greatly magnify the public's awareness by:

1)  Coming to the Dunes Rallys on the next 3 Saturdays at Hillside and 10th.
2)  Write letters right away to every Media outlet you can think of (Sun News, NMB Times, Columbia, Charleston, Charlotte, etc.).
3)  Call the TV and Radio Stations.
4)  Call each of our NMB City Councilors and Mayor Hatley.
5)  Put "Preserve Ingram Dunes" Signs in your and your friends yards.  Signs can be put on Public Roads only from Friday at 7PM and taken down by Sunday night.  Contact me for signs.
6)  Please come to the Planning meeting at 9AM on Tuesday March 20th and the Public meeting at 5PM.

The Ingram Dunes are the most beautiful and peaceful natural area left in North Myrtle Beach.   Amazing as it seems, these are the Highest (50 ft. above sea level), and Oldest (12-80,000 years) Relic Dunes left on the Entire Coast of South Carolina & they are covered with live oaks.  They are too magnificent and important to be destroyed.

Please come and join us to preserve the Ingram Dunes.   It will be good to see you again :--)

all the best,
Damien
